Privacy policy
Effective October 17, 2026. This notice explains how information is handled on the QRCodeTidy website.
QR content and uploaded images
QR generation, batch generation and image decoding run in your browser. We do not send your entered content, Wi-Fi password, contacts or image files to a processing server or keep them in a database. Downloaded files are saved to the device location you choose.
A QR code is not encrypted storage. Anyone with a copy can read its content. Do not publicly share a QR containing sensitive information.
Connection information and browser storage
Delivering web pages involves processing your IP address, requested path and browser connection information. The default deployment does not enable HTTP access logs, but infrastructure providers may process security logs separately. Only your language choice (qct-language) and analytics choice (qct-analytics) are kept in local browser storage. QR content is not saved there.
Optional Google Analytics
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics (G-THZEKXHRP0) may process cookies and connection information for usage measurement. The analytics script is not loaded before you allow it. Our page-view event excludes QR input, URL query strings, fragments and referrer URLs. You can change or decline this choice using Privacy choices in the footer.
Advertising and Google consent messages
When advertising is enabled, Google and advertising partners may process cookies, device information, IP addresses and ad interactions. A published Google-certified consent message manages advertising choices where applicable. Our analytics preferences dialog is separate and does not replace a certified advertising consent platform.

Controls and requests
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser. Declining analytics stops future analytics collection by this implementation and removes accessible GA cookies for this site. Information already received by an external service is subject to that provider’s retention and deletion policies. Privacy rights may apply depending on your location.
